Cruisin on Main Street is open to cars, trucks, sports cars and street rods 1984 and prior only. Vehicles must have a current DMV registration.
May I pre-register?
There is no pre-registration. Registration takes place on the day of the show at one of the two Show Car Entrance/Registration check points. Please see the event map contained in this web site.
When should I arrive?
Show car registration opens at 8:00 a.m. on the day of the show.
Where do I enter the show?
There will be two Show Car Registration Entry points. Show cars approaching from the North and South will be directed via signs to the closest entry point. Please see the Event Map.
How will I know where to park?
After you have entered the show via the Show Car Registration Entry points, members of the Eastern Chapter of the Over the Hill Gang Car Club of Ct. will be stationed along the street and direct you where to park.
Is there a registration fee?
A $5. car registration fee will be charged. Profits from Cruisin 2009 will benefit a local charity and the Downtown Manchester Special Services District.
How many cars will receive dash plaques?
The first 1,000 vintage vehicles to register will receive a commemorative Cruisin’ 2009 dash plaque.
Will trophies be awarded?
Sponsor Choice Trophies will be awarded. Selection begins at 1:00 p.m. Show cars are reminded to complete the registration card and place it on the windshield of their vehicles. Winners will be notified via a “Winner’s Card” placed on their windshield. Trophies will be presented at 3:00 p.m. along the sidewalk in front of St. James Church.
When should I plan to leave?
Show cars should expect to remain in place for the duration of the show. At the conclusion of the show, cars will be directed to exit the area via the closest side street.
